Using Sprout

Paying back

Due dates, manual payments, paying early and closing a plan.

Every plan is a fixed list of payments. Let autopay handle them, pay them yourself, or clear the whole plan early. Whichever you choose, the total never changes.

Your due dates

Your plan page lists every payment with its date and amount, and what’s left after each. The first payment is due one period after you send. See Plans & schedules for how dates are set.

Paying with autopay

With autopay on, each payment is collected from your wallet on its due date. You don’t need to do anything except keep enough USDC in your wallet.

Paying manually

  1. 1

    Open your plan

Your open plans are on the app’s home screen.

  2. 2

    Choose what to pay

The next payment, a custom amount, or everything left. Sprout shows the new balance before you confirm.

  3. 3

    Confirm in your wallet

The payment is a USDC transfer from your wallet. The network fee is a fraction of a cent, in SOL.

Paying early

Pay ahead whenever you like. There’s no penalty, and no discount either: the fee was fixed when you confirmed, so paying early simply means you’re done sooner.

How extra payments are applied

Money you pay goes to your scheduled payments in order, oldest first. Pay $21.00 today on a $100.00 plan over 10 months and your first two payments are covered; the next one due is month 3.

Paying off a plan

Choose Pay everything left. When the last cent lands, the plan closes and its amount is available on your limit again. If autopay was on when you paid off by hand, revoke whatever is left of the approval. Sprout can’t collect on a closed plan, but a tidy wallet is a safer wallet.

What you can pay with

You repay in USDC on Solana. Plans are in dollars, so one USDC pays one dollar of your plan.
