Getting started
Quickstart
Send your first plan: connect a wallet, paste an address, pick a term, confirm.
Sending your first plan takes about two minutes. You’ll pick who gets paid, how much, and how long you’d like to take to pay it back. Sprout shows you every payment before you commit.
Before you begin
- A Solana wallet you control: Phantom, Solflare or Backpack. See Wallets.
- Your recipient’s Solana address or .sol name.
- A little SOL for network fees. A transfer costs a fraction of a cent.
- USDC in your wallet by the time your first payment is due. You don’t need the amount you’re sending.
Send your first plan
- 1
Open the app and connect
Open the Sprout app and choose Connect wallet. Your wallet asks you to sign a short message to prove the address is yours. Signing is free and can’t move funds.
- 2
Paste the address
Paste your recipient’s Solana address, or type their .sol name. Sprout checks it before you can continue.
- 3
Enter the amount
Anything from $10 up to your limit; they receive it in USDC. New accounts start at $1,000.
- 4
Pick a term
Anything from 1 day to 12 months. Your exact payment updates as you go: $100 over 10 months is 10 payments of $10.50.
- 5
Turn on autopay
Optional, and on by default. Your wallet asks you to approve Sprout’s program as a delegate on your USDC token account, capped at your plan total: $105.00 in this example. Skip it and you’ll pay each one yourself.
- 6
Review and confirm
Check the address and the schedule, then confirm. Sprout sends the full amount right away. Your first payment is due in 1 month.
What happens next
You’ll get a receipt with a link to the transfer on a block explorer, and your plan appears on the home screen with every payment, its due date, and what’s left. From there you can pay early, make a payment by hand, or turn autopay off.
Next steps
- Plans & schedules: how payments are split and when they’re due.
- Autopay: what you’re approving, and how to turn it off.
- Paying back: manual payments, paying early and closing a plan.
